One day trek to Revanasiddheshwara Betta - [25th June 2011]- Registration is On

About the place:
Being in the vicinity of Ramnagaram, Revanasiddeshwar Hill is at a distance of nearly 60 kms from Bangalore. Beautiful and tranquil, the hillock is like a cousin to the rest of the hills that lie in close proximity from this one. Being nearly 3066 feet about sea level, this hillock is popular among trekkers and rock-climbers.

There are totally 3 temples on the hill – At summit is Revannasiddeshwara betta, midway is Bheemeshwari (Named after Bheema) and Renukamba temple at the base. The temple at the base has a noticeably beautiful garden neatly maintained by the villagers.

Tentative Schedule:

 Saturday        25th June 2011
    07:00AM    Start from Wind Tunnel Road.
    07:15AM    Pickup from New Shantisagar, Domlur.
    07:30AM    Lifestyle - Margrath Road (Near Garuda Mall)
                    Have Breakfast on the way, Pack lunch
                    Reach Ravenasiddheshwara base and start trekking
                    Reach on the top
                    Have Lunch and Explore,
                    Trek down and start back to Bangalore. Have Evening snacks on the way
       08:00PM    Reach back to Bangalore

Note: Drop points will be the same as pick-up points.

To Carry:
- Personal medication (if any)
- One strong backpack
- Water bottles (enough to carry at least 2 liters of water)
- Energy Food (Chocolate bars, flavored milk, Electrolyte drinks - Glucon-D, etc).
- Light-coloured full arm clothes (preferable)
- Sports shoes (for better grip)
- Camera.
