Rock climbing & rappelling at Turalli - [24th Dec, 2011]- Registration is Open

About the place: Located off Kanakapura Road near Bangalore where you can get clusters of hills full of boulders. Turalli is an arid countryside, it is craze among rock-climbers. Set in serenity, surrounded by boulders and rocks good enough for beginners and practicing  professional climbers, Turalli is inviting and worth the while. The kind of rock found here is granite and good enough for climbing. The forest area of Turalli is filled with Nilgiris and is a reserved portion. Wildlife sightings such as peacocks, hare and in the recent past, even elephants have been spotted here, as well as a lot of birdlife.

Tentative Schedule:
Saturday 24th Dec, 2011
    07:00AM    Start from Wind Tunnel Road.
    07:15AM    Pickup from New Shantisagar, Domlur.
    07:30AM    Symphony Theater MG Road, Bangalore.
    09:00AM    Reach Turalli base, have breakfast
    09:30 AM   Start trekking in forest
    11:00 AM   Reach rappelling point and start rappelling activity
    01:00 PM   Have lunch, rest and explore
    02:30 PM   Climbing activity
    04:00 PM   Start climbing down
    04:15 PM   Start back to Bangalore
    05:00 PM   Tea/ coffee and snacks on the way
    06:30 PM   Reach back Bangalore

Note: Drop points will be the same as pick-up points.

To Carry:
- Personal medication (if any)
- One strong backpack
- Water bottles (enough to carry at least 2 liters of water)
- Energy Food (Chocolate bars, flavored milk, Electrolyte drinks - Glucon-D, etc).
- Headwear - Hats, caps, bandanas
- Sun screen lotion & sun glasses
- Light coloured - full-armed clothes (suggested)
- Sports shoes (for better grip)
- Camera.
