Adventure Camp at Bheemeshwari [11-12th July 2009]
About the place:
Meandering through the woody landscape amidst
the forests of Karnataka is the Cauvery – the most majestic and sacred river
of South India. The river offers both adventure and opportunity for nature
lovers. Nestled along this mighty river is the
Bheemeshwari Fishing Camp, world-renowned as home to the great
‘Mahseer’ - the finest & the largest tropical sporting fish known to man.
Tucked away from the milling crowds, yet close enough for you to reach, this
camp offers a slice of nature that is entirely unique, one in which you can
totally feel free!
Tetative schedule:
11th July 09
07:00AM - Start from Bangalore, Visit Shivansamudram water falls,
Have (self sponsored) lunch on the way.
05:00PM - Reach
Bheemeshwari, Avail permission from forest department for camping.
07:00PM - Setup Tents, Campfire, Barbeque, Dinner
10:00PM - Night trek along the river bank for 2-3 hrs.
12th July 09
07:00PM - Windup Tents, Break fast, Coracle
ride, Adventure activities (River crossing, multivine, zummering etc).
12:00PM - Leave the camp
Cost per person: Rs. 2000.00
Above cost included: Evening Snacks, Campfire,
Veg/Non-veg Barbeque, Veg/Non-Veg Dinner, night trek, Tents, Sleeping bags,
camping permission, forest entry charges, trek permission charges. adventure
games & morning breakfast for next day, coordinators, instructors,
equipments, firstaid kit etc.
