One Day Trek to Maribetta - [21st Jan 2012] - Registration is On 
 

 

About Banatimari betta:-  Its localy known as Karadibetta because here one can see lots of bear’s This is one of the not-so-popular trekking destination quite close to Bangalore (Just 3 Kms from Kanakapura). At the base of the hill is the Bananthimari temple where animal sacrifices are quite common. 

Distance: From Bangalore: 72 km

Route: Bangalore – kanakpura- Hoskote- mari betta.

Difficulty level: Moderate

Tentative Schedule:

21st Jan 2012

 

06:30AM - Start from Wind Tunnel Road. 
06:45AM - Pickup from New Shantisagar, Domlur.
07:00AM – Pickup from Lifestyle - Margrath Road .
08:30AM - Reach kanakpura and have breakfast and pack lunch.
10:00AM – Reach mari betta. Start trek
01:00PM – Reach the peak, Lunch, rest, explore.
03:00PM – Start climbing down.
05:00PM – Depart to Bangalore
07:00PM – Reach Bangalore

 

To Carry: 
 - Personal medication (if any) 
- Day bag back
- Water bottles (enough to carry at least 2 liters of water)
- A torch with new batteries. (must in case of emergency)
- Energy Food (Chocolate bars, flavored milk, Electrolyte drinks - Glucon-D, etc).
- Rain gear.
- Camera.
