Reserve your participation by paying Rs. 300 contribution amount to one of the 'Team BMC Member'         


About Ramnagar:
Ramnagar is approx 60km from bangalore city on Mysore-Bangalore Highway. Ramnagar has many rocky mountains made of lime + granite stones suitable for Rock climbing activity. Climbers from all over India visit this climbing spot, there are few bolted routes present on the Ramgiri Betta. Apart from Rock climbig Ramnagar is also famous for shooting of the Sholay Film.

Tentative Schedule:

Schedule: Saturday 12th Nov 2005
 6:00AM - First Meeting Point: Symphony Theater- MG Road, Bangalore.
 6:15AM -  Second Meeting point: Maruthi Temple - Vijay Nagar, Bangalore.
 6:30AM - Start from Bangalore using our own Car/Bikes.
 8:00AM - Third Meeting point: Ramnagar - Arch near Ramgiri betta (Right hand side of highway, immediately after Ghosia College)
 8:30AM - Warm up, Bouldering, Rock climbing, Rappelling.
 2:30PM - 3:00PM - Lunch break
 3:00PM – 5:30PM – Rock climbing, Rappelling.
 6:00PM - Start from Ramnagar.
 8:00PM - Reach Bangalore.
 
Meeting points are given for people who are not sure about the route. You can choose any meeting point - but Third Meeting point is mandatory for all. 
Let me know which meeting points you are choosing. All participants are requested to be there (Arch near Ramgiri betta) before 8:00AM.

 We will arrange transport for people without Car/bike. Will have to contribute Rs. 200 extra per seat.

 
 Rock Climbing Program includes:
 1. Quick Introduction to Rock climbing, techniques, safety, equipments, communication.
 2. Bouldering- Free hand climbing.
 3. Rappelling.
 4. Face climbing.
  
 Things to carry:
 Lunch Parcel (Good south Indian meal is available there for Rs. 20-30)
 Energy food (ie. Chocolates, Flavored Curd, Fruits etc)
 Energy Drink (ie. Flavored milk, Fruit juice etc)
 Cap, sun glasses, rain coat, water bottle,

Shoes: With minimum grips/studs. preferably canvas or soft sole shoes if not rock climbing shoes.  

 Declaimer:
 We are not responsible for:
 - Climatic condition due to which we may not able to carry out maximum activities.
 - Participants reaching late.
 - Loss of any belongings.
 - Any mishap during the activity.

 

Expenditure:
- Rs. 300.00  Which includes Rock climbing and safety gears (Carabineer, harness, belaying device, mitten, rope etc), Rock climbing instructor charges.
This cost does not include: Food, Transport.
- Additional transport would be arrange for Rs. 200 each.
- Lunch parcel would be arranged locally for Rs. 20/30.

I am applying to join the Rock climbing event at Ramnagar. I recognise that climbing, mountaineering, trekking and jungle safaris are activities with danger of personal injury or death. In participating in these activities I am aware and accept these risks, and am responsible for my own actions and involvement. 

I have read the club constitution and agree to be bound by it and any subsequent amendments to it. If I have any medical condition or am taking any medication whilst on a club activity, I will ensure that a member of the immediate group is aware in case of an accident occurring. I have informed my next of kin of my involvement with this club, and of the precise contents of this participation statement.

I understand that in case of cancellation of my participation, I have to bear the cost of the expenditure made till the time of cancellation. Refund would be made in case other person is joining on that seat.
